LEGAL COUNSEL (m/f)(LJOU/LC)

MISSION:

- You will contribute to the development of the business and protection of its shareholders, investors and its reputation through provision of pro-active legal support, with the emphasis on Luxembourg legal issues, to a specific business unit.

- You will provide legal consultancy on all aspects of Luxembourg Company and fund related matters, to business partners and the wider business as allocated.

- You will provide legal support to Product Development in connection with project activities relating to Luxembourg based products (SICAVs and FCPs). Tasks include:

• Advise on feasibility of new fund projects, investment restrictions, legal and regulatory environment.

• Drafting and/or review of the Luxembourg offering documents (prospectuses, supplements and simplified prospectuses).

• Provide a point of contact for internal stakeholders on legal questions on the Luxembourg-based fund ranges and ideally on filing requirements/local requirements in other jurisdictions.

• Drafting and negotiating service and facilities agreements, providing solutions to various legal queries, helping to improve internal procedures.

• Review of new laws and regulations and assessing the impact on the relevant fund ranges.

- Provide a point of contact for management and sales teams of Benelux, Nordic and other international markets (such as the Middle East and South Africa) on all legal matters, work in partnership with marketing, product development, compliance and customer service departments, as well as working with Legal Services colleagues and advise on legal developments which may affect their business.

- Support all matters relating to the distribution of funds in Benelux, Nordic and other international markets.

- Co-ordinate production of distribution agreements, follow up of review processes, feedback on status with Sales, CRM and Finance, ensure execution and filing with Company Secretariat.

PROFILE

• Legal degree with at least 2-4 years experience in fund related environment

• Knowledge of Luxembourg fund structures and industry is essential

• Fluent in English and French. German would be an advantage

• Pro-active team player with ability to work independently

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines

• Expected to work under supervision but with an ability to quickly establish yourself as the contact person for all areas of business.
